1. The organisation

2. The Information Regulator
Complaints and PAIA/POPIA queries may be directed to the Information Regulator (South Africa), JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg; enquiries@inforegulator.org.za. The PAIA Guide compiled by the Regulator is available from the Regulator on request.
3. Records held
- Customer and account records (registration, billing, support correspondence).
- An index of personal information derived from public South African government gazettes (estates, insolvencies, liquidations, sales in execution, curatorships) and a directory of the professionals named in them.
- Operational records (usage logs, security and system records).
- Statutory records required of the company.
4. How to request access
Submit a request in writing to the Information Officer at support@gazette-search.com using the prescribed PAIA request form, providing sufficient detail to identify the record and the requester, the right you seek to exercise, and the form of access required. We will respond within 30 days, as provided in PAIA. Prescribed request and access fees may apply.
5. Grounds for refusal
Access may be refused on the grounds set out in PAIA, including the mandatory protection of the privacy of a third party, commercial information of a third party, and other statutory grounds.
6. Remedies
If a request is refused, the requester may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to court as provided in PAIA.
